Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) conducts
examination for the selection process of recruitment of skilled candidates in
various Banks.
Candidates get selected
for various posts such as PO, SO and clerk.
Now for this year IBPS PO examination is going to be held for
the selection of skilled candidates on the probationary officer’s post in
various banks which comes in IBPS. As for the sake of the candidates we are

IBPS PO Syllabus 2016
Exam pattern:
In the IBPS PO examination there will be 200 marks question
paper. This paper will possess 5 sections reasoning, English language, quantitative
aptitude general awareness and Computer Knowledge. The time duration will be
of 2 hours in this examination.
Negative Marking:
0.25 marks will be reduce for each wrong
answer.
Minimum Cut off
Marks:
To get qualified Candidates must score minimum score of 24
(Gen. Category) and 21 (for reserved category). Shortlisted candidates will be
called for personnel interview.
Interview:
After get shortlisted in written examination there will be 100
marks interview section. To get selected candidates must score 40% in the interview.

SYLLABUS:
This section contains English vocabulary, comprehension,
general usage, grammar, and error detection.

Vocabulary:
Antonyms/synonyms/completion sentence.

Comprehension:
Detection/completion passage/find the conclusion.
·
Grammar:
indirect direct speech/active passive voice. Error detection means
passage/sentence/spelling correction.
Test of Logical
Reasoning
Logical reasoning will have two types one is verbal and
second one is non-verbal.

Verbal
reasoning: blood relation/sitting arrangement/judgment/statement/coding
decoding/making series and syllogism.

Non-verbal:
making series/analogy and classification.
Test of Quantitative
Aptitude
Quantitative aptitude:
This section is full of numbers and calculation like as
add/minus/multiple/average/roots/percentage/profit & loss/ratio/time &
distance/stock & shares/area. Data interpretation is also one of the parts
of quantitative aptitude, in this tabulation/graphs like as bar/line and charts
will be asked as questions.
Test of General
Awareness:
General awareness is the ability to be conscious of events
and current affairs of India like as
sports/constitution/technique/economics/science/politics/culture and banking.
Test of Computer
Knowledge:
The computer acknowledges section will have two parts
hardware and other software. In hardware section there will be questions
regarding physical parts of computer such as monitor/printer/mouse/keyboard/C.P.U
and, etc. Software will have questions like as Ms office/paint/coral draw
and, etc.
